Sunrise Breakfast Casserole
Ingredients
- 24 ounces Johnsonville Breakfast Sausage Links 2 pkg 12 oz each
- 9 eggs
- 3 cups milk
- 1 1/2 teaspoons ground mustard
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon Black pepper
- 30 ounces Ore Ida frozen shredded hash browns, thawed 1 pkg 30 oz
- 2 cups shredded 4 cheese blend 8 oz
- 1/2 cups Red bell pepper diced
- 1/3 cup Green onion thinly sliced
Instructions
- Arrange sausages on an ungreased 15“ x 10“ x 1“ baking pan.
- Bake at 375 degrees for 15-20 min, turning links once or until sausage is cooked through and lightly browned; drained.
- Allow to cook slightly.
- Slice sausage into 1/4“ coins.
- In large bowl, whisk eggs, milk and seasonings.
- Add sausage, hash browns, cheese, bell pepper and onions.
- Pour into a greased 13“ x 9“ x 2“ baking dish.
- Cover and refrigerate overnight.
- Remove from refrigerator 30 minutes before baking.
- Bake, uncovered at 350 degrees for 65-70 minutes or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let stand 10 minutes before serving.
- Serve with salsa or picante sauce
